THE EXPO:
Now in its 26th year, the Hawaii Lodging, Hospitality & Foodservice Expo was launched in 1995. Today, it is now the largest trade exposition in the State and the only event providing access for industry buyers to a full range of products and services for the Hawaii’s most important economic sectors. Although seminars are occasionally offered, the objective of the Expo is to bring industry buyers and suppliers together for an effective marketplace for all on the exhibition hall floor.

WHO ATTENDS:
4,343 registrants attended the 2-day event in 2019. They represented the purchasing needs of Hawaii architects, attractions, caterers, colleges, concessions, convenience stores, country clubs, government agencies, health clubs, hospitals, hotels, interior designers, military housing & foodservice, nightclubs, property managers, restaurants, retirement homes, supermarkets, shopping malls, timeshare residencies and schools. Admission is free.

THE MARKET:
Valued at over $20 billion annually, the Hawaii hospitality market is served by 70,000 hotel rooms and resort condominium rental and time share units and more than 6,000 restaurants and foodservice establishments. The City and County of Honolulu, the Hawaii state capital and metropolitan center, has a population of nearly one million. Strategically located in the mid-Pacific between Asia and the continental United States, the Hawaiian Islands are visited annually by ten million tourists from all over the world.

Products exhibited include: amenities, appliances, alarms, art, bakery goods, bathroom fixtures, beds, beers, buses, candies, carpeting, carts, china, cleaning supplies, clocks, coffees, cooking utensils, crystal, cutlery, desserts, disposable containers, draperies, flooring and floor care products, frozen foods, furniture, glassware, gourmet foods, hardware, ice-cream, irons, key cards, lamps, linens, locks, meats, menus, office supplies, paper goods, produce, promotional items, robes, rugs, safes, scales, sea foods, security systems, signage, snacks, soft drinks, spirits, swimming pool supplies, tabletop items, tableware, teas, telephones, televisions, towels, umbrellas & shade products, uniforms, vending machines, wallpaper, wines and more…

Equipment & services exhibited include: accounting, air-conditioning & purity, audio/video, beverage dispensers, broadcast cable & satellite services, catering, cleaning, computer systems, construction materials, data storage, design, electrical, energy management, entertainment, environmental, financial, food-preparation, graphics design, grounds maintenance, housekeeping, insurance, internet & wifi, landscaping, laundry, lighting, maintenance, painting, parking, physical fitness, plumbing, point-of-sales systems, printing, property management, recreation, recycling, refrigeration, renovations & repairs, safety, sanitation, security, shipping, storage, telecommunications & internet, transportation, waste management & disposal, window tinting, website design and more…  

PROMOTION:

All qualified Hawaii industry buyers receive Expo invitations and badges. Targeted and extensive email campaigns are scheduled during the 90-day period prior to the opening of the Expo to promote buyer pre-registration and attendance. Full-color ads are placed in all relevant trade media circulated in Hawaii. The EXPO PREVIEW, a full-color, tabloid-sized newsletter, is sent to all qualified buyers four weeks before the Expo, and it includes the list of current exhibitors, their products and booth locations. All buyers receive 6 contest entry forms to win valuable prizes at strategic locations on the Expo floor. Exhibitors also receive invitations as needed to send or email to their clients and prospective customers.

THE FACILITY:

The Neal S. Blaisdell Center is a “right-to-work” municipal facility owned and operated by the City & County of Honolulu. There is plenty of on-site and adjacent parking. The exhibitors are permitted to do their own display move-in, set-up and removal. The Blaisdell Center is conveniently located just two miles from Waikiki Beach, the heart of Hawaii’s tourist industry. Honolulu’s modern downtown business, civic center and capitol district are within walking distance.

BOOTH COST:

Standard pipe & drape exhibit booths 10’ deep x 10’ wide are $1,375 (tax included). Also provided at no additional charge: one skirted display table, 2 side chairs, wastebasket, 7” x 44” booth ID sign, listing in the Buyer’s Guide given to attendees, listing and link on the Expo website and 6 exhibitor ID badges. Some 8’ deep by 10’ wide booths are available for $1,445 (tax included). Premium corner booth locations are an additional $175 each. The attendee list is made available free to all exhibitors after the Expo.

SCHEDULE:

Exhibit hours are 10am to 5pm on both Wed. July 8th and Thurs. July 9th. Exhibitors may install their displays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Tues. July 7th and from 7:30 am to 9:30 am on Wed. July 8th. Move-out begins at 5:20 pm on Thur. July 9th and must be completed by 10:00 am on Fri. July 10th.
